Euculyptus is the name given to a diverse genus of flowering trees (and a few shrubs) in the myrtle family, Myrtaceae. Members of the genus dominate the tree flora of Australia.

They are also known as "gum trees" because many species exude copious sap from any break in the bark. The leaves are also the source of euculyptus oil.
