I am a Kitchen Manager of an O'Charley's. Line Cooks start off at 9/hr to 12/hr depending on experience, what station in the kitchen, time with the company, background in kitchens etc. Things also depend on the company. For example a cook at a fast food joint vs. a very fancy steak house. You can make as much as 13-14/hr and places like a bugaboo creek or longhorns, etc. It just may take years to get there with no experience. Hope this helps.
