Just a couple reasons:
*the tacos tortilla is folded in half while the burritos tortilla is wrapped around the stuff inside
*tacos are Mexican food, while burritos are new Mexican food (yes, I'm from New Mexico and there is a difference)
Otherwise, they are pretty much the same thing.
Another answer: In California and Arizona, the burritos are so big, that it would be more accurate to call them burros!

To wrap a burrito like Taco Bell, start by placing the filling in the center of the tortilla. Fold the sides of the tortilla over the filling, then roll it up tightly from the bottom. Fold in the sides as you roll to keep the filling secure.
