The best pizza in NYC is the source of constant debate among New Yorkers. Magazines often cite Di Fara in Brooklyn as the best, but it's a trek to get out there. Grimaldi's near the Brooklyn Bridge has coal-fired ovens and doesn't take reservations so you'll wait an hour. Lombardi's claim to fame is that it is the country's first pizzeria. It often becomes bogged down with tourists. You'll be blown away by the pizza at those three places (Di Fara, Grimaldi's and Lombardi's) but if you don't want to wait in a long line, I would recommend Keste in the West Village or Patsy's (several locations).
