Hey there, The PH should be between 6.8-7.2 but ideally it should be spot on 7. U should also use a chlorine neutralizer and water conditioner. Normal tap water damages the fish because of the chlorine stripping the natural slimy protective coating of the fish and could ultimately kill the fish. the hardness should be 100-150. Most aquariums or pet stores can check the PH and Hardness for you if you are unsure of how to do it or cant afford the test kits. temp isn't all that important coz U can have them in a tropical (approx 25 degrees) or coldwater tank. But if u don't have a heater they will be fine at a steady room temp. Be careful of fluctuating temps. And if u have any questions, ask ur local aquarium. Hope that's helped mate
FreshwaterI think it's fresh but go to like a pet shop and ask
a goldfish lives with water to breath in if there overfeed they can still live they just need water to breath you should change the water evrry week if you cange it before then a week they get sick then they die
No. Water is oxygen to them so they need to be in water in the plastic bowl.
It just needs to be clean I don't know if a goldfish can even live in salt water. I always put the ones I've had in tap water that set out for a day or two I don't know wye it needed to sit out for a couple of days before putting the fish in it but that's how my mom always did it so I figured it was probably for a good reason. I actually had one goldfish that lived for like 4 or 5 years that's a long time for a goldfish. Goldfish need to be kept in fresh water, they are not made to live in salt water. preferably, keep them in spring or kangen water. By the way, you mom left the water out for a day or two to get it to be room temperature. Goldfish need to live in water the temperature of 70-75 degrees Fahrenheit.
You need to buy a chlorine-free bottle, to get rid of the chlorine from the water. Since no fish can live inside chlorine. And chlorine is mixed with tap water.
If it is a small goldfish, it will physically fit in something that small. But, it will not live very long in it. If you wish to keep goldfish alive, you need at least ten gallons of water for each goldfish along with a good filter and a heater to keep the water temperature stable. With proper care goldfish can easily live 15+ years.
It depends on the goldfish.. For ones that stay small you should have at least 10 gallons.. The bigger the goldfish gets the more water it needs. Those one and two gallon bowls do not cut it..
ok stick with me here ... I am not sure if they won't live but i thought that before u try ( hopefully you haven't) but we had a fish that wasn't a goldfish and just died today because we put it in distilled water. they die because when water is distilled it removes the two things fish need in water : oxygen and minerals ! hope this helped p.s. rip sushi ( our fish that died today )
no they need at least five gallons each. a thirty gallon tank is a good size tank to keep goldfish in.
Goldfish and turtles have different care requirements. Goldfish need a tank with a filter and regular water changes, while turtles need a tank with a basking area, UV light, and a varied diet including vegetables and live food. Goldfish are cold-blooded and need cooler water, while turtles are ectothermic and need a heat source to regulate their body temperature.
absolutely not! goldfishes cant live in chlorinated water. you need a water conditioner to remove the chlorine and ammonia from the water
No, it is not recommended for a goldfish to live in a 1-gallon tank as they require more space to thrive and stay healthy. Goldfish produce a lot of waste and need a larger tank with proper filtration to maintain good water quality. A larger tank, ideally 20 gallons or more, is recommended for a goldfish to live comfortably.
