This all depends on the breed and health of the broody hen. Some breeds like Araucana's have a poor hatch rate average. Several things effect hatch rate such as steady temperature and humidity. If the hen is forced off the clutch for any length of time it could effect the number of eggs hatching. Some brood hens will gather way too many eggs in their clutch and cannot maintain a steady temperature.
it depends if they got cold, if they got cold they wont hatch, they will be dead
only if their fertilized if their not it wont happen
yes u can but u need an incubator and you need to do exactly what turkey mothers do or else all the eggs wont hatch and they will die yes u can but u need an incubator and you need to do exactly what turkey mothers do or else all the eggs wont hatch and they will die
They lay eggs just the same, but they wont hatch.
in Pokemon fire red they don't. they just wont hatch
it means that it probably has too many eggs. it wont hatch or bacause it doesnt like that egg
Noramally, is pretty difficult to determine wether the bird will lay eggs or not. But keep in mind if it's one bird, it wont hatch. It takes a female and male. Females can lay eggs on their own but it wont be fertilized. You could probably tell if the bird goes inside a nesting box (if she has one) often.
They lay eggs daily, but if you want chicks you have to have a male to fertilize the eggs.
She is broody. This is when a hen instinctively needs to collect and hatch a brood of chicks. If you don't wish her to brood eggs simply keep taking the eggs away and she will eventually leave the nest.
Small bird eggs take up to 28 days to hatch if all the conditions are right. If after 32 days they still didnt hatch, chances are they wont.
yep they lay eggs w/o roosters. they just wont ever hatch. that's the kind of eggs u buy @ the store.
A full sized light sussex hen could potentially sit on over 20 eggs. However, she would struggle to cope with that many chicks if the hatch was a successful one. 15 is a good number. Also make sure u mark any eggs that are underneath her, she will be stealing eggs left right and centre from your other hens trying to make them hatch too. there's a high chance these eggs wont hatch as they would be at an ealier stage of incubation when the majority of the chicks hatch. its very annoying when a broody hen steals all your eating eggs and you cant tell the difference between them.
