Be patient. Make sure that the temperature and humidity are in the proper range 72-82 and let them take their time. Some crabs are just skittish by nature but even social crabs will not come out unless the conditions are favorable.
It is different with some hermit crabs, if she doesnt like to come out alot, then it seems natural, but if she usually comes out, then usually, or she just wants to be lazy.
They probably come out of their shells to do it, but no crab has reproduced in captivity.
pick it up and if it doesnt respond it may have died
a hermit crab
well it depends, if u have a hermit crab that is from a region where there are alot of its natural predators, like: seagulls, carnivorous sea turtles. it is not very normal to have a crab form a place that doesnt have natural predators that does come out at night, but if it is one from a very populated beach then yeah.
Well Hunny if the hermit doesnt fit in its shell,Its to small simple:) Good work
What is a Hermit Crab's predator?
If it is a hermit crab, then it is like any other hermit crab, so just take care of it as you would to a regular hermit crab :)
It's term 'hermit' is not because it doesn't like other hermit crabs. The hermit crab actually loves being with other hermits. It is called hermit crab because it is only one hermit crab in the shell. It's term 'hermit' is not because it doesn't like other hermit crabs. Just pull on it, it should come out.
Only if no one is around!
The opposite of a hermit crab is a social butterfly.
