Hello, I've recently acquired a 1988 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham D'Elegance RWD from the original owner, who also owned the Cadillac dealership here. It was still in the dealer's name, never titled. It has only a little less than 11,000 miles on it. However, it has been sitting for 5 years in storage. Therefore, I am doing a lot of routine preventive maintenance. The car has a 5.0 Liter, 3.7 V-8 Engine with an electronic Carb. I've run several quarts of Lucas Fuel System Cleaner/Treatment through it with premium (93 octane) gasoline & it still has "smoking blow-by." However, it is NOT consuming engine oil. Nonetheless, the oil gets dark very quickly. My mechanic says the carb. needs to be re-built. He has known the car since it was made, as he was to Service Director at the Cadillac dealership. Yesterday, I bought a PCV Valve, a Fuel Filter & a 180 degree thermostat with a gasket & sealer kit. Can you tell me how to locate, R&R these items? Sincerely, Jack D. Rash
