Technically all food is organic, so it will rot at the same rate as every other piece of food. If you refer to naturally treated foods (those that have been farmed without pesticides etc.) then they will last just as long as most other food; some treated foods simply have preservatives added during processing.

Mould, a British variant of Mold is a Lifeforms. Lifeforms are formed from the foods they eat. The method of agriculture does alter the form of the food, but the growth-rate of lifeforms are specific to the conditions in which they grow in; you examined that in this particular case, mould grew substantially faster on non-organic food than the same mold that grew on a similar piece of food from an organic plot. Good observation. But no General Principles can be deduced since the rate of growth of any Lifeforms is an interrelationship of more than just the substrate, the energy, and other factors such as temperature or moisture must also be determined to have been precisely the same under all conditions, as well, the two foods you were observing, having been grown under different conditions, have different properties, and it may have been those properties in the soil and not the food, that are influencing the growth of the mould.

How is organic food different from non-organic in cost quality and nutrients?

Organic foods generally cost more than non-organic foods because they are more labor intensive to grow. Organic foods are, in my opinion, better in quality because they are grown without the use of synthetic fertilizers and pesticides, and processed organic foods contain no additives or preservatives that are not organic. There is a least some evidence that the nutrients in organic foods are greater than in their non-organic counterparts.
