Answer 1

Neither of them. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) did not drink alcohols and didn't bow to an idol. He isolated himself from time to time in a cave to meditate to God as the one and only one God (who was worshiped by prophet Abraham) until the angel Gabriel recited to him the first God Quran revelations to him. How did Muhammad be influenced by Christians and/or Jews while Quran was revealed by God to correct for the deviations and alterations that were introduced to the The Bible and Torah. Refer to question below.

Answer 2

Mohammed did have strong influences from both Jews and Christians. He incorporated much of Jewish and Christian lore and eschatology into the cultural aspects of Islam. Mohammed could not have been inspired by the ritual practices of Islam since he was the revealer of the Qur'an and Hadith (which are the basis of ritual Islam). Most Muslims would argue, though, that while Mohammed did reference the Bible, he was sent to correct its imperfections showing a connection with Judaism and Christianity, but not any influence of their worldview.
