NOTES: 26 July, 1929 THE PECATONICA NEWS Side Hill Ormsby Segis, prize holstein cow of the John R Logan & Son herd at Seward, who two years ago established a state, national and world record by producing 18, 531 pounds of milk---more than ten times her own weight--in a six month's period, was sold at auction for $5,100 on Monday of last week at Minneapolis, to Harvey S Firestone, millionaire tire manufacturer. The animal will be placed in the prize herd of Firestone farms at Akron, Ohio. The Logan Holstein has a record of producing 27, 619 pounds of milk and 1,144 pounds of butter fat in a year.
