Apples emit ethylene gas. This agent will ripen soft fruits such as kiwi, peaches, or nectarines. Bananas emit the same gas, so be careful when you mix your fruit in the bowl. Oh...and keep them away from roses too.
A banana would rot faster because it is softer and attracts dirt and germs faster.
it depends on the variety of apple. usually old apples tend to be softer than fresh crunchy ones.
A kiwi has more acid than an apple. Kiwis typically have a lower pH level compared to apples, making them more acidic.

Store kiwi in the refrigerator to keep it fresh and flavorful. Kiwi can be stored in the refrigerator for up to two weeks. Avoid storing kiwi near other fruits that produce ethylene gas, such as apples and bananas, as this can cause the kiwi to ripen too quickly.
