Not necessarily. Sometimes it is possible, sometimes not. I will give you a few examples.
(c = clubs; h = hearts; d = diamonds; s = spades)
Situation 1 (No Limit Hold'em; Limit Hold'em):
2 players hold 5c and 9c & 8c and 3c.
The board shows 7c Tc 2c Ac 4c. (5 clubs on the board).
This is a situation where the pot will not be split. In Poker the highest combination of 5 cards wins the pot. In this case the hand of player A is "Ac Tc 9c 7c 5c". The hand of player B is "Ac Tc 8c 7c 4c".
As you can see in this situation, there are 5 clubs on the board (table), yet it is not a split pot as player A has the highest value in cards in his flush.
Situation 2 (No Limit Hold'em; Limit Hold'em):
2 players hold Ac and Kd & Ks and Jc
The board shows 8h 9h 2h Ah Kh. (5 hearts on the board).
Like you can see here, there are 5 hearts on the board. None of the other players has a heart, therefore making the cards on the board the highest possible 5 card combination. In this situation the pot will be split as they hold a 5 card combination of the same value.
Following situation is not in No limit hold'em etc, but on Omaha which might be irrelevant to your question, however it is good to know this too.
Situation 3 (Pot Limit Omaha; No limit Omaha; Limit Omaha)
2 players hold Jc 9s As Ac and Kd Ks Qd Ad.
The board shows Ah Jh 3h 5h 9h. (5 hearts on the board)
As you can see, no player holds a heart, but due to Omaha having different rules (You must use 2 cards out of your hand) other combinations are possible. The hand with the highest value here is player A holding "As Ac Ah Jc Jh", A full house. Against Player B holding "Kd Ks Ad Ah 9h", 2 pair. Here the pot will not get split because neither player holds 2 hearts because neither player can claim 5 board cards.
It depends on what style you are playing, but if players are allowed to use all cards on table then it is a split-pot. If not, then it is still up to each player's hand.
Technically, Yes. Any table is suitable for playing poker, including a domino table.
Leaning round the table
In poker, the dealer shuffles the deck of cards and then deals them one at a time to each player in a clockwise direction around the table. Each player receives a certain number of cards depending on the type of poker being played. The dealer may also place community cards on the table that all players can use to make their best hand.
I assume you mean "Do you ante up in poker after you look at your cards?" No, you do not. If there is a table ante it is done before the cards are dealt. When you have your cards, you have the option of betting/calling/raising/checking/folding. Thanks and please use English!
The button position in poker is the last position to act in a betting round and is typically located in front of the player who is dealing the cards.
Poker Tables are dropped from the "Hijack a Poker Table Delivery" job in District 4. Chance to loot : POKER TABLE
To "lay one's cards on the table' means to accurately describe one's position or view on a subject under discussion. The term comes from poker, where the last players in a round must show their cards to each other to determine who won, which is done by placing the cards face-up on the table.
Holdem poker games like Texas Holdem involve having a hand of cards as well as visible table play. You are trying to gather your best hand in correlation with what is available on the table. To learn more visit www.gamehouse.com.
To deal Texas Hold'em poker, start by shuffling a standard deck of 52 cards. Then, deal two cards face down to each player at the table. These are the player's "hole cards." Next, deal five community cards face up in the center of the table. These are the "community cards" that all players can use to make their best hand. Players can use any combination of their hole cards and the community cards to make the best possible hand. The player with the best hand wins the pot.
Note that there are no Official Poker Rules. House Rules apply and there are big differences from casino to casino (or kitchen table to kitchen table). Swapping three cards is the most common, but in a lot of places swapping four cards and sometimes all cards is in the rules. If you're playing a home game, you will have to decide amongst yourselves what to do. In my experience, you can draw any number of cards, between 0 and 5.
Texas Hold 'Em differs from other poker games in the way the cards are dealt and how the players around the table bet. For example, in Texas Hold 'Em, you are dealt 2 cards to start whereas in Five Card Stud, you are dealt 5 cards at the beginning.
