Some early Disneys overdid this- such as Alice and Wonderland- A very merry Un-Birthday to you, it"s true.) Most cartoons- not just Disney, had at least theme songs ( merrily we roll along) was used by ALL the Warner Bros. characters not just Flagship Bugs Bunny. Felix the Cat had a themes which introduced his famous prop- the Bag of Tricks- itself a minor part of the language. Some science-fiction cartoons did not have theme songs, maybe because of copyright problems as these were syndicated on different shows in different parts of the country.
