Edward 'Ed' Gein (1974-1957): A serial killer who would skin his victims, exhume corpses and decorate his home with parts of his victims' bodies. The skin of his victims was used to make dustbins, furniture and clothing.

Ted Bundy (1947-1978): Serial killer who confessed to about 40 murders. He would kill women and then bury their bodies in the glades of Florida. He would later return and engage in necrophilia with the corpses.

John Wayn Gacy (1972-1978): Serial killer who confessed to 24 murders, but is suspected of 28 (because he owned a map of 28 graves). He would dress as a clown, get to know the young boys and sexually assault them before killing them.

Jeffrey Dahmer (1978-1991): The most well known Psychopath. He preyed upon prostitutes and was convicted of 15 murders. He also victimized boys of Asian and African descent. He was known to practice necrophilia and cannibalism. He finally was killed by a fellow inmate.

It is also suspected the Jack the Ripper was a psychopath and there are others. Know that psychopaths are not necessarily bad or serial killers, but the word psychopath is typically associated with serial killers.

Are there any famous psychopaths or sociopaths who aren't serial killers?

Probably, but just to point out that being a psychopath doesn't mean you have the urge to kill, it just means you don't have the same range of emotions (if any) as "regular" people, which i guess makes it easier to kill. I like to think that most politicians are psychopaths

Can psychopaths show love?

Psychopaths are often very manipulative people, and are generally very skilled at lying. Psychopaths can absolutely fool people into thinking that they love them. However, since true psychopaths do not have any empathy, they are not capable of love in the traditional sense and any "love" that they show is simply manipulative behavior.

Can psychopaths get cured?

There have not been any recorded reports of the successful treatment of a psychopath. Psychopaths are believed to have sections of their brain wired differently than normal humans, and there is no treatment that can fix that. Also, psychopaths generally do not want treatment so therapy is rarely an option.
