Face-down monsters cannot activate unless they specifically say they can - Big Shield Gardna and Mid Shield Gardna are about the only two monsters that do.
Spirit Reaper has three effects - it is actually impossible for it to try to apply its protective effect and its discard trigger while face down (as it is flipped before Damage Calculation, so will always protect itself from battle, and must be face-up to be attacking), however it may freely be targetted while face down and it will not destroy itself, even if it ends up being flipped by that effect, such as through Book of Taiyou.
No, it triggers in response to the declaration of the attack. If it is face down at this point, then it misses its chance to activate. When it is flipped face-up at the beginning of the Damage Step, it is too late to use its effect.
Yes, a Morphtronic monster's face-down effect can still activate when it is flipped face-up, as long as the conditions for activation are met. For Morphtronic Datatron, its effect to inflict 300 damage per turn when in defense position only activates while it is face-up on the field. If it remains face-down, it cannot inflict damage until it is flipped face-up and its effect is activated.
You have first to evolve a Duskull into a Dusclops and then trade it while holding a Reaper Cloth.
give it the reaper cloth and trade it someone and then trade it backin generation III (3) (hoenn) when it was introduced, it was true dusclops didn't evolve. but as of generation IV (4) (sinnoh) you have to trade dusclops with a reaper cloth to evolve it into dusknoir.
Yes. Cards like Wild Tornado can be Set as a monster by the effect of Magical Hats, and when Magical Hats destroys them at the end of the Battle Phase, their effect will activate.Wild Tornado must be destroyed while Set though. If it is attacked, it will flip into a 0/0 monster and be destroyed while face-up. So a Wild Tornado destroyed that way will not activate.
Swords of Revealing light is not a card that targets, so Spirit Reaper will absolutely not be destroyed by it, even if it is face up. While face-down, Spirit Reaper can be targeted, and it will not be destroyed.
Both Spirit Reaper and Gorz trigger from the same thing, and will form a chain with each other. As the turn player's mandatory effect, after battle damage is dealt, Spirit Reaper's trigger will be chain link 1. Gorz will go on the chain as chain link 2. Gorz's effect will resolve first and summon him to the field, then Spirit Reaper's effect will resolve and the opponent will discard a card if he has any left. Lastly Gorz's second trigger will start a new chain, to summon the token.
No, flip effect activate when the card is flipped, which will be by Flip Summon, or being attacked, or flipped by an effect. Simply being destroyed while face down, will not 'flip' the monster.
Yes. Monster Reborn doesn't target it while it is on the field. It will summon it and it will be fine, it will not destroy itself.
well minTao didn't die while he battled the nine-tails fox he sealed the spirit into his son naruto while using the reaper death seal to do the jutsu he died when he used it
Flip effects will activate if flipped manually by Flip Summon, or when attacked. Also must include "FLIP" in all caps for its effect to activate, or say 'when this card is turned face-up'. For example if a monster such as Guardian Sphinx is flipped face up by an attack or an effect (spell, trap or monster), the effect does not activate, because only a Flip Summon triggers it, not a generic flip. When a card effect destroys a face-down monster, the monster is destroyed and flip effect isn't activated because the monster never flips. Mystic Swordsman Lvl. 4 destroys the monster it attacks without flipping it, so a Flip Effect monster attacked by it will not get its flip effect. To summarize, if a FLIP effect monster is attacked while face down, then it will activate. But if it's destroyed by a card effect while face down then it won't activate. Some card effects let you flip monsters face up and let the flip effect activate, like book of taiyou. But others, like ceasefire don't let it activate. If it says 'when this card is flipped face up' then you have to do that manually on your own turn.

If "Harpie Lady 3" is destroyed while face-down by the effect of any LV "Mystic Swordsman" or "Sasuke Samurai", it's effect will not work since it was not flipped face-up. If it was attacked while face-down, it is flipped face-up and after damage calculation, it's effect will activate.
In general, yes. Continuous effects are only applied while the monster is on the field, an activated effects (Ignition, Trigger and Quick) can only activate when the monster is on the field. If they activate in other zones (Honest, while in hand, Zeta Reticulant, while in the graveyard, DD Survivor, while out of play) then it will specifically say so on the card.
No, a monster's effect is not active while face-down. The only possible exceptions are extremely rare monsters who can activate while face down, and that is Big Shield Gardna and Mid Shield Gardna only.

The McCormick reaper exponentially increased the agricultural output. While this raised supply and quantity of U.S. imports, it was also detrimental to farmers because it caused a deflation of price in the crops. Furthermore, due to the fact that the reaper was quite expensive, agriculture slowly started to shift towards rich companies rather than poor, local farmers. The reaper made agriculture far more mechanized and competitive.
