Now first on the fith generation u have to go to route fifteen and go to the Poke Transfer Lab (first Building u will see) then when u r in the building, go up all the staircases and meet a scientist who will make u save the game once u get past him, the game will explain the rest.

∙ 10y agoYes and no. You can sure send pokemon to Generation 5 games but, like taking pokemon from Generation 3 into Generation 4, the process is one way.
A word of warning for this process: You can not access the Pokemon Transfer Lab without first defeating the Elite Four and beating the game. You also need the National Pokedex.
To preform the process, you need a Generation 4 game (Diamond, Pearl, Platinum, Heart Gold, or Soul Silver) with at least 7 Pokemon on it, 6 to send to the receiving game, one to keep in your trainer's party, and two of any combination of DS, DSi, or 3DS. Put the Pokemon you want to send in the PC, and then power off that DS. Power on the receiving game and go to The Pokemon Transfer Lab (Route 15.) Once there, Power back on the DS with the Generation 4 game in it, but do not activate the game, instead go to Download play. On the Generation 4 DS pick the Pokemon to transfer, you can not pick less then 6. On the Generation 5 DS you will now be treated to a minigame to catch the Pokemon. You can catch all or none of the Pokemon transfered, and those not caught will be sent back to the Generation 4 game. those you catch will be yours for use on your Generation 5 game.
