The best (and only) method is the Masuda method. Normally there is a 1 in 8192 chance of encountering/ hatching a shiny. But with the Masuda method the odds are reduced to 1 in 2048, a 75% cut. In Pokemon Black and White the odds are reduced even further to 1 in 1365.3, a 80% cut roughly.
The Masuda method is basically breeding two Pokemon, one foreign and one of yours. In Generation IV and V games the chance of a shiny hatching is reduced to the odds above.
If one of the Pokemon breeding are shiny the odds of the hatched Pokemon being shiny are not reduced.

∙ 12y agoYes you can breed in Pokemon Gold Version, there is NO game entitled Pokemon Shiny Gold.
actually, there IS a game called shiny gold. it is a hack of fire red. it is no complete yet, and i have had the same problem with breeding, i am just going to cheat to get around that
ok, after playing some more, u can breed in shiny gold, it just says the two dont like each other very much. this means nothing, they will still breed, provided they are the same egg group, opposite genders, etc. it just takes time. i bred an umbreon with a ditto and got a lvl 5 eevee egg

∙ 12y agoIt's a ROM hack (Pokemon FireRed) made by Zel. And no, you CANNOT trade, you can evolve Pokemon that evolve by trading by level or stones.

You can trade if u have the VBA that supports it i have done this to obtain all of the Starter Pokemon.
Tip: Save 3 copies of the game right before you choose your starter so that you can play in all 3 games with each Pokemon until you're able to trade that way your Pokemon will obey you because it will be under the same id.

∙ 12y agoLike most any other pokemon, you can breed shinies, but that doesn't mean the baby will be a shiny. A shiny hatching from an egg has the same odds as catching a wild shiny. 1 in 8192, but first you would have to have a shiny, i caught a shiny Venonat level 24 girl on route 13 by the grass near the fences in my fire red
