Get firered.Catch Grouth and migrate it to diamond. Then give it a fire stone and use it on Grouth. There now you have Arcanine! ok wat that dude said could work but if you need one quick and its growlithe btw go to the grass under cycling road and you will find ponyta, train it till it evolves into rapidash, and now you have a pure fire type.

∙ 12y agoThe only two fire types available to catch in Pokemon platinum are Ponytar which can be found in the grass north of the town with the day care center and Chimchar which you can only get by choosing it as your starter.
If you want any other fire types them you will have to transfer them over using the pal park
