Geraldine Edwards specifically requested that she not be included in Robert Palmer's Last Will and Testament. She was a Legal Professional and a Small Business owner and was more than financially self-sufficient. Palmer and Edwards did spend a considerable amount of time together in July of 2003 going over his Will as Palmer had mentioned that he wished to make changes to his Last Will and Testament and because Geraldine Edwards had worked professionally in Probate and Estate Law. Both felt the Estate should go to Palmer's five children and UNICEF, and paid a visit to Palmer's Estate Attorney Paul Bernard at his offices in Paris, France. At that time the final Will was enacted and lodged with the Paris Probate Court as is procedure. Although the Will was challenged in 2004 it turned out to be airtight. The Will stood as lastly written in July of 2003. A case was brought against the French Probate Court via the Hague Convention in 2007 by Mick Carter, Robert Palmer's manager and Mary Ambrose questioning the legality of the assignment of James Palmer as Trustee of the Estate and questioning the actions of the French Probate Court citing Conflict of Interest. If the two had prevailed they would have been able to file a third lawsuit against the Estate, however, the matter was dismissed by the Hague Convention, and the matter was finally laid to rest.

Is geraldine Edwards the rock muse one of the inspirations for john connollys charlie Parker character as I read?

Geraldine Edwards met the writer John Connolly in the nineties, they shared some of the same friends, including Robert Palmer, among others. John Connolly did base a part of his Private Investigator character, Charlie Parker, on Geraldine Edwards, based in part because she was the County Psychic of San Diego County for three years in the 1990's and did actively work with the San Diego Police Department in the vernacular of a Special Investigator involved in active investigations. According to Connolly, when he found out about this aspect of Geraldine Edwards life, he would ask her for details about the situation, some of which she gave him in a hypothetical way, due to the rules of confidentiality attached to any investigation. When he created his Charlie Parker character, he did say that Geraldine Edwards did inspire the occult aspect of his character as well as part of the characters' intellectual reasoning and ability. When Geraldine Edwards first met John Connolly, he was working as a freelance writer. His first Charlie Parker novel appeared in 1999, and was a runaway success.

Is it true that Jack Bruce and Marianne Faithfull fired Mick Carter Robert Palmers manager after he deliberatley misprepresented facts about Palmer to the press after his death?

Yes. Both fired Mick Carter after his bizarre reporting after Robert Palmer's death. He point blank lied about the circumstances of Robert Palmer's life for personal reasons that suited him. He gave the name of the wrong woman as Robert Palmer's companion at the time of his death. He named Mary Ambrose, a past casual date of Robert Palmer's as his companion, when his girlfriend was Geraldine Edwards. Palmer himself mentioned Geraldine's name in his last interview. Carter also said Mary Ambrose was in Paris with Robert Palmer vacationing when he died. That was a complete lie. Robert Palmer was vacationing with Jack Bruce, and Carter knew that because he was also in Paris at the time that Robert Palmer died. He also grandly announced that Robert Palmer was married and divorced only once, and only had two children. Palmer was married twice and had five children. He also insisted that Robert Palmer was going to be buried in Switzerland. Palmer was interred in London, England, by his family. And then he announced that Robert Palmer was in perfect health. Palmer suffered from Hypertension and Mitral Valve Prolapse. The man sounded like a lying fool, which he was. Marianne Faithfull fired him one week after his misreports, alarmed at his behavior. And on a humorous note, Jack Bruce gave Carter a punch in the nose for his antics and then fired him. Jack Bruce did it with style. On an even funnier note, Carter had a child in 2001 with Mary Ambrose, the woman he annnounced as Robert Palmer's companion. Carter performed quite a song and dance to cover for himself after his client Robert Palmer's death. On an even funnier note, Carter went out of business in 2004 due to his weird behavior after Robert Palmer's death. His judgment could no longer be trusted in a professional vernacular.

Why did the late Robert Palmers manager Mick Carter make so many errors in reportage after Robert Palmers death?

It can be chalked up to a lack of knowledge about his client. Although Carter was personal friends with Robert Palmer, he did not know a lot about his personal life and that is where the reporting errors cropped up. They started with Carter reporting Mary Ambrose as Robert Palmer's partner vacationing with him in Paris at the time of his death. Robert Palmer's companion at the time of his death was Geraldine Edwards. The reason for this misreport was that Carter and Ambrose were very close and had a child together in 2001. According to Carter, he took Ambrose at her word, and announced Ambrose's name to the press. In addition to this, Carter announced Robert Palmer's divorce date from Susan Palmer as 1991. The correct divorce date was in 1999. He also quoted that Robert Palmer was in "Perfect Health" prior to his death. That was not correct. Robert Palmer was suffering from Hypertension and was being treated medically for that condition. Jack Bruce, another of Mick Carter's client's, was vacationing with Robert Palmer in Paris, France at the time of his death, not Mary Ambrose. And finally, Mick Carter reported that Robert Palmer was only married once and had only two children. Robert Palmer was married twice and had five children. His final reporting faux pas was telling the press that Robert Palmer was to be buried at his home in Lugano, Switzerland. That is not correct. There was a Memorial Service for Robert Palmer in Lugano, Switzerland, however, Robert Palmer was buried in London, England.

Why did Geraldine Edwards have her Wikipedia biography taken down and have her name removed from all the Wikipedia articles it was included in?

Geraldine Edwards, now Geraldine Flemming-Mueller, has publicly stated the reason for her having her Wikipedia Biography taken down as well as having her name redacted from all Wikipedia articles it appeared in is that she felt Wikipedia's entertainment biographies, and their musician biographies in particular were lacking in veracity, credibility, and professionalism, many of them offensive in tone. She made it clear that she did not want to be part of them. Although Geraldine Flemming-Mueller is one of the inspirations for Penny Lane in Almost Famous, was very well known in the 70's for dating famous musicians, and was Robert Palmer's fiancee, she's not interested in the type of shallow publicity that Wikipedia affords. Therefore, she made arrangements with Wikipedia to have her biography taken down which she stated was riddled with inaccuracies and falsehoods, as well as being written in an offensive vein. In addition, she asked to have her name redacted from the biographies of Robert Palmer, Eric Clapton, Roger Daltry, Syd Barrett, Cameron Crowe, Dave Hill, Rick Springfield, Dave Hill and Rod Price. Wikipedia complied with her request. Problems arose when her name would pop back up on these biographies as soon as they were redacted, so at Geraldine Flemming-Mueller's request, a bot was prepared on her behalf that automatically removes her name from any article that it is included in, which solved the problem. She stated she was grateful for Wikipedia's cooperation on her behalf. She said that she finds their scientific, educational, and professional articles to be commendable and very helpful in their content, and otherwise in general had no fundamental problem with Wikipedia. On a humorous note, as soon as Geraldine Flemming-Mueller had her name permanently removed from Robert Palmer's biography (she was his fiancee before his death) the name of Mary Ambrose was put up on it listing her as Robert Palmer's girlfriend at the time of his death on an invalidated cite by a Wikipedia editor she knew personally. The reason the cite is invalid is due to the fact that it was based on information reported by Mick Carter, Robert Palmer's fired manager. Once it was reported that Mick Carter had been fired by Palmer prior to his death, any and all reports he made to the press were invalidated and not viable as cites for articles or biographies in a legal vernacular. Geraldine Flemming-Mueller has now been married to her husband Anthony Flemming-Mueller since 2006, and is a successful entrepreneur and businessperson who resides in Los Angeles.

Why do not website of Robert palmer list geraldine Edwards as his girlfriend?

The website you are referring to is not the official website of Robert Palmer, in other words it is not mandated by his family or friends. The Palmer family took down their official website in 2006. The reason that Geraldine Edwards name does not appear as Robert Palmer's girlfriend is that she has not given the site permission to use her name or to post any pictures of her. She has deferred to the Palmer family in this matter, in addition to which the woman has moved on with her life and is now happily married and has been so for years. The only member of the Palmer family who participated on this site in any way was Robert Palmer's brother, Mark Palmer, and he only did so in a peripheral way, by leaving a commerative blog on the site remembering his brother. Beyond that he does not endorse the site. By all accounts Geraldine Edwards is a very private person and does not court publicity for herself. She would prefer not to be listed on any site about Robert Palmer not approved of by the Palmer family. She was also the woman Almost Famous was written about and turned down offers to have a website created for her. She prefers to remain annonymous.
