Harold Alexander served as the 17th Governor-General of Canada. He served in the British Army from 1911 to 1946, rising to the rank of Field Marshal. Alexander passed away in 1969.
Kesselring was a Luftwaffe General who was German Cin C in defence of Italy in 1943/44. Alexander was appointed along with Montgomery to the British 8th Army before el Alamein; Monty upset people & Alex soothed them. Alexander remained in Italy when Montgomery went to 21st Army Group prior to D Day.
First of all, the movie portrays it incorrectly. The Army of the Dead never went to Minas Tirith. They did, however, fight in two battles. First, as the Grey Company traveled into Gondor, they came across the men of Morthond fighting orcs for the Blackroot river. These orcs were killed. Then they went and destroyed the Corsair fleet at Pelargir. Here Aragorn released the Army of the Dead and let them rest in peace.
HOWARD PAYS Howard Pays worked for me as assistant stage manager on £2.50 per week in one of my rep compaines in the year 1949 repeat 1949. To the best of my knowledge this was his first egagement in the theatre and that was therefore definitely his only name at that time. He was by the way a super chap and helped me considerably. His given name was, in fact Harold Reginald Pays. He changed his name after leaving the army and joining RADA to study acting.
because when he retreated his army harolds shield wall dispanded and his army demolished them
Harolds army was worn out and tired for they had fought at another battle earlier at Stanford bridge
the 3 main reasons are: 1. William had better tackticks then Harold 2. Harold had to leave half of his army behind 3. when harolds army saw the haleys commet the thought is was bad luck so when the turrend to see the commet Williams army took the chance and struck harolds team
Harold Harada died because he was in war so what would you expect

the battle of hastings ended by one of williams soliders who shot harold in the eye with an arrow, and then harolds army ran away or is killed
King Harald hardhradi of Norway had an army of 15.000 men on 300 ships when he invaded England.
to trap harolds army.
they wore armour
Quite near the end. As soon as Harold Godwinson was killed the English Army did not have a leader and soon lost heart and passion for the Battle. However they did carry on fighting bravely.
hey
William was more properly ready and this was harolds second fight of the day. some of harolds best fighters had died in the battle of the stamford bridge Reasons why William won: -luck,the arrow which hit Harold, harvest time so some of the fyrd went home, storm which forced Harold into the hands of William, the fake retreats, arrival of hadraada,William survived the blow, wind blowing the opposite way accross the cannel, -harolds weaknesses, untrained fyrd, lack of control,no calvery/archers,rused into battle, failed to defend coast, tactically unflexible, -Williams strengths, brave, professional force, well equiped, tactically aware, -Tostig and hadraada, the battle at stamford bridge led Harold to becoming too confident, harolds army was tired,Harold had to leave the south ungarded,Harold lost a 1/3 of his housecarls.
