No but you do need one if you want to trade with Pokemon colosseum and you also need a GBA to GCN cable and a ruby or sapphire or emerald or firered or leafgreen.
You can only unlock it by transfering a deoxys from a Pokemon DS or DSI game.
You can use the wireless adapter from leaf-green/fire-red, if that doesn't count as an adapter. You may also be able to use the DS wireless, with 2 DS's. Lastly, you can trade with in-game traders, inside houses, but they are very specific.
You have to have two Game Boy Advances to trade with emerald and ruby and a GBA to GBA link cable, another way to trade is if you use a GCN (gamecube) to GBA cable and you use Pokemon colosseum or Pokemon xd gale of darkness to trade emerald or ruby Pokemon to there then use colosseum or xd gale of darkness to trade your emerald or ruby Pokemon to the other game either ruby or emerald. Theres no way you can use a DS to trade with GBA games because the DS is not compatible with the GBA link cable.
You Can. Just Follow These Steps. Step 1) Purify Your Shadow Pokemon & Beat The Game. (You Can NOT Trade Shadow Pokemon Into Your GBA Games) Step 2) Go To The Pokemon Center In Phenac City & Enter The Back Room (The City In The Desert That Has Alot Of Running Water) Step 3) Talk To The People. Connect Your GBA To Your Gameboy/Wii. Select Your Pokemon & Your Done! Heres A Tip. If You Want To Use Colosseum For Storage. Trade In A Bunch Of Nincada Then Have Them Evolve (Nincada Turns Into 2 Pokemon When It Evolves As Long As You Have A Spare Poke'ball) To Add Pokemon To Your Collection Which Can Then Be Traded Back To Your GBA.
You need blue rescue team other mystery dugeon games on gba

Yes, but you need a GBA and cable to link it to the gamecube. Sadly it is not availble to use two controllers to play multiplayer.
You can either use GBA link cables to trade between ruby and emerald via the upstairs room in the Pokemon center or you can use a GBA to GCN cable to trade with colosseum and xd gale of darkness.
the same gameboy advanced cable u use to trade with the rest of the GBA Pokemon games u jus plug 1 side into the gamecube/wii

Beat Pokemon colosseum first, in ruby and sapphire and emerald do that as well but for emerald you also need the national dex this also apply's to firered and leafgreen but they also need to deliver the ruby and sapphire to celio once this is all complete you need to do the following: In colosseum go to phenac city and head to the Pokemon center go downstairs and grab any Pokemon you want to trade from your PC keep in mind no shadow Pokemon can be traded! Talk to the lady once your done then after it saves a screen will show up this is the GBA's part hook up a GCN to GBA cable to gamecube socket 2 and your GBA put in your Pokemon version and turn it on if your not saved in a Pokemon center don't hook up the GCN to GBA cable yet save in a Pokemon center with the Pokemon you want to trade in your party once your all done turn it off hook up the cable and turn on the GBA wait till the connection is established then use the gamecube controller to choose the Pokemon you want to trade confirm your choice then use the GBA D Pad to do the same confirm your choice then say YES and now you traded!
Yes you can, but first beat leafgreen and deliver the ruby and sapphire to celio then beat Pokemon colosseum, BUT you need a GBA to GCN cable to do this: Go to phenac city after beating colosseum and go downstairs in the Pokemon center talk to the lady after getting the Pokemon you want to trade from the PC. Next hook up the GBA to GCN cable to gamecube socket 2 and hook it up to your GBA(GBASP works too) then on leafgreen save your game in any Pokemon center with the Pokemon you want to trade after saving turn it off and return it on and wait for the connection to be made then start trading, to trade use the gamecube controller to choose the colosseum Pokemon your trading then say ok then using the GBA's Dpad choose your Pokemon from leafgreen then press A and confirm your choice by pressing A again and the trade begins! Happy trading!
No although it's impossible to use the GBA for the game. You can use the GBA to play the pokemon games that are compatible with Pokemon Stadium
Sorry it can't be obtained in firered but you can get ho-oh if you have Pokemon colosseum and you use your story mode party to do mt battle vs 100 then all you have to do is use a GCN-GBA cable to transfer the ho-oh. NOTE: You need to beat the game in firered and colosseum plus in firered you need the national dex and you must deliver the ruby and sapphire to celio then you can trade.

There is 3 methods: Gba link cable, Gba wireless adapter and Gba to Gcn cable. With the link cable you can trade with firered, leafgreen, ruby, sapphire and emerald. With the wireless adapter you can trade with firered, leafgreen and emerald. With the Gba to Gcn cable you can trade with firered, leafgreen, emerald, ruby, sapphire, Pokemon colosseum, Pokemon xd gale of darkness and Pokemon box: ruby and sapphire. In each game in the Pokemon center you can go upstairs and talk to a lady that will lead you to the trade center (remember you need the link cable or wireless adapter for this method and you also need another Gba you can also use GbaSP). Once you talk to the lady say Yes to all her questions afterward one of the players must press A twice to enter the trade room. With the Gba-Gcn cable you must save the game in a Pokemon center with the Pokemon you want to trade in your party and in Pokemon colosseum/Pokemon xd gale of darkness you must beat the game then go to phenac city's Pokemon center and go in the basement and talk to the lady to open the trade screen turn on the gba with the game inside and start trading! With Pokemon box you should be able to trade at anytime.
