The rich have a better chance at winning The Hunger Games because the people in Districts 1-4 (where the rich people live) see the Games the same way the Capitol does; something of high value. For those Districts, when someone wins the Hunger Games, it is like winning a Gold medal in the Olympics. They train since birth, so that way, if they get chosen in the Reaping, they are prepared to win the Games.

The richer districts had a better chance of surviving the Hunger Games than the poorer districts because they spend their whole life training for this if it comes down to it

What do The Hunger Games and The Giver have in common?

I have read both, and the sequel to the hunger games. They are completely different. The giver is about a society that is basically shut off from the other world (or so i guessed). the hunger games is about a girl that lives in a district ( the world is controlled by one government and everyone lives in a specified district) and takes the place of he brother to compete in survival games. If you win, you become rich and can feed you district and if you lose, well then that means your dead. I will not tell the end to either, as you must read for yourself and I am also on my iPod. So goodluck If you have a teat or something.

Is cato a bad person or not in the hunger games?

I wouldn't say he's bad; I'd just say he wants the fame, glory, to be rich, to go home, and get his girl. ;)

What did the rich and the poor drink in Hunger Games?

It doesnt necessarily say what the rich and the poor drank in the Hunger Games Book, however it does tell that Haymitch (who became rich after winning one of the hunger games) drank alot... Katniss tells how the people in the Seam (the poor place) barely had enough money to buy water so because she went in the woods and hunted more than likely she went to the lake and got water and maybe even fruit juices seeing that there were berries out in the woods... so answering your question logically speaking rich people could drink anything because they were rich...but poor people had a hard time getting anything and thats where Katniss and Gale came in...hunting made poor people's lives a little easier

it says in the book that people wore the best dresses to the reaping day , maybe some did not have any. And the poor people were distinguished from the rich that day.

Why is the settinng of the Hunger Games important?

The opening scene informs the reader about Katniss, her love for Prim, her mother and of course Gale. It also lets us know about the Hunger Games - what it is and why people loath it. It's just a scene that gets you started in on the book, informing you about the characters and the Hunger Games, itself. Hope this helped.

How do poor people get fooled?

no we're a pretty rich country. True, we have our problems, but hunger is very, very rare I think.
