With anybody as legend-encrusted as Zsa Zsa Gabor it is difficult to sort out fact from fiction. In my day ( sixties and seventies) she was nicknamed the Admiral of the bedroom by allusion to six full Rank stripes- then her total times around the Marital Horn ( let us keep this rank ) Elizabeth Taylor went on tio Secretary iof Defense status ( 7-up) and so on. Gabor was born on 2-06 l9l7 in Budapest, Hungary. She was Miss Budapest in ln l938 ( amateur) It is unfortunate that her full potential as an actress was never quite developed in movies or on stage, but she was a frequnet sight in television commercials ( for such products as automobile transmissions!- she spot-acted on Mr. Ed ( yes) and similar light programming. an important if spot role was as Catherine II in a one-shot on Bicentennial Minutes- describing the Czarina"s role int he American Revolutionary period it was known there was something going on between Captain John Paul Jones and CATHY II ( not talk of Reds in l776!- Redcoats- Britishers, yes) but Russia was then neutral.
