∙ 8y agoMermaids come to us from Celtic legends along with other things like faries. They were used to explain things that the people of ancient Britain couldn't understand. The physical fact of a mermaid can't exist. The DNA of a fish and a human can't live together in a body. Nature wouldn't allow a deformed thing like this to exist. It is wonderful to think there are magic beings in our world and we can still spin stories about them, but they aren't real and never have been.
