When you are laying in a sunbed you are almost entombed in bright UV lights. Once the lid is closed the light bounces around inside the bed. You body will naturally absorb all of the light.

Sunbeds work by using UV (Ultra Violet) lights to burn the skin causing a tan
Bottled tans dont but sunbeds do
yes but only after the tattoo has stopped scabbing or peeling&& has grown it's first layer of skin back. (usually three to four weeks.) even then, use sunscreen to protect from fading.
Sunbeds emit Ultra-Violet radiation or UV. This is of a frequency just above visible light, and causes the release of melanin in the skin resulting in a tan.
You shouldn't really use sunbeds at all. Research has proven that sunbeds are just as likely to cause skin cancer as straight sun exposure- perhaps even more so. You are in very close contact with UVA/UVB rays when you lie in a sunbed, which are directly linked to skin cancer. If you must use a sunbed, go for very short amounts of time, i.e. 5-10 minutes MAX. Don't bother using sunscreen- it will prove ineffective on your tan. In my opinion, it is far better to accept your natural coloring and stay skin cancer free.
The Ultra Violet (UV) light used in sunbeds burns the skin causing a tan, but also damaging it at the same timeA suntan is not a sign of good health. A tan, even when there is no burning, always means that the skin has been damagedWhen you overuse sunbeds it damages skin permanently, which in turn often causes skin cancer
Tan means in social studies means treating animal skins to produce leather.
