How do yo go into the turnback cave in pokemon platinum?

First of all, I want you to go to the Pokemon center and leave one empty space in your party.Make sure you have a Pokemon that has rock smash and rock climb with you.There is no designated path like Mount Coronet, but you have to pass all 3 pillars. Once you are in the room of the 3rd pillar, save, and then proceed in any direction.I must warn you, the wild Pokemon past the second pillar can reach the high 60's.Once you past the second pillar, catch a haunter before you go into the room of the sleeping(Giratina).I will tell you why this is important later.

As for capturing Giratina, there is alot of things to keep in mind.

1. You should stock up on ultra balls, and if you have a master ball, use it here, or on Heatran.

2. Do not forget to save or else you are doomed because unless you have a master ball, you will have a 5% chance of catching it on the first encounter.

3. Get Giratina down to red.

4. Now, for the Haunter. There are only 2 attacks that effect Haunter, one of which prevents your Haunter from healing, it is called Heal Block.The other one, Shadow Force is a 1 hit K.O. Don't worry though, there is a way to counter it.This attack is very powerful, but it takes 2 turns. On the first turn of this attack, the Giratina will instantly vanish. Once Giratina does this, it is your que to switch Haunter with a fighting type, NOT Medicham. Once Giratina is done the attack on your fighting type, switch back to Haunter. Keep doing this every time Giratina Vanishes. Otherwise, keep throwing ultra balls at it.

there is an easy way!! i only took 30 seconds to take to giratina.

you just need to go to 3 pillars and this is the way. don't go wrong the path!

west, north, west, north, west north... if you can't see giratina just keep doing this and will see giratina very soon. i done it 3 times.

ok so heres how I caught Giratina.

I went inside turn back cave, everytime you go in, its a different path so i can't tell you.

but I found Giratina, I threw 30 ultraballs and nothing. but i saved the game, so when i ran out of ultraballs i could restart and try again..

then I discovered the beautiful art of soft reseting, and i soft reseted to try and make it easier to catch it. it got WAY easier and my attacks were getting stronger. I recomend you take staraptor with you inside ALL of Giratina's attacks have no effect on staraptor exept for slash. After about 5 soft resets I tried again and i only wasted 10 pokeballs before i caught it:)

go into random caves until you see a column.every time you see a column, just go forward until you see giritina. if you want to catch/fight it, walk up to it.if you want out of the cave,just go to the cave on the bottom.

Turnback Cave? You come out from there after you are finished with the other world that Giratina lives in. You can go back there and get Giratina after you finish the game.

Turnback Cave is located on Route 214, in Sendoff Spring. You can go there any time you please after you finish Cyrus in the other world. :)

all you need to do is to use flash(it is a TM u need to find it and teach it to ur Pokemon) and u can see everything and will be much easier to see how to get out.Hope this is useful ;)

just keep walking until you have seen 3 pillars after you have seen your 3rd pillar in the next room giratina is waiting at lvl 70

No directions, just random order. Just keep trying, you'll find it eventually.Or keep going straight that's what i did.

you have to catch the main legandary to do that ,I know that because i had the game ,I gave the game to.....
