You have to break all the glowing energy sources, Go onto the platform, and start punching! He should - Umm.... Pueke... Out white containers. PIck one up, and throw it at the boss. That should freeze him. Remember to Dodge his attcks. Keep doing that until he collapses. Hope this helps!

Sonic 4 is completely different and is sort of a cliffhanger story. Even though the cliffhanger will be gone when Episode II comes out, I would recommend Sonic Unleashed more than Sonic the Hedgehog 4.
