Sonic has the powers of supersonic speed, extreme reflexes and quite a bit of strength. Dr. Ivo "Eggman" Robotnik has the powers of extreme intelligence (IQ of 300) and ingenuity. So far, they seem evenly matched. They also have equal willpower. Sonic will never give up trying to accomplish something when he sets his mind to it, but neither will the Doctor. The only real advantage Sonic has over Eggman is while the Doctors willpower is based on villainous motives, Sonic's is based on heroic ones.

Sonic, Knuckles, Shadow and Amy: Best to learn the pattern of the bombs and the speed that they are dropped and explode, once you think you have it memorised, try to hit Eggman just as he drops the bomb and before it hits the ground.

Tails and Cream: These two lucky people can just fly ahead of Eggman and hit him there rather than jumping over the bombs.
