Greeting from the Gym-Master of Strength

Hi guys out there. Want some little tip on the Pokemon game, well i will offer some help to the Firered, Leafgreen and Sapphire Version. There are a number of ground rules to remember. For instance, Pokemon is not a game in which you can finish within a day. Especially the Firered version. The Firered game is a game that never seems to have an ending, after you defeat the champion and become the champion of the Kanto region, the game only just began. In fact there is another part of the game, you have to get the ruby and sapphire to be eligible to fight the elite 4 a second time, this time their Pokemon would be much stronger than before the level would increase by 10 to12.

Another thing about Pokemon is the skill required to be able to be a master in the game. It is not just a matter of training your Pokemon to maximum level. When you are battling with other training (Real Human Trainer) the only way to defeat them is throught maximum advantage. Most of the time, or rather, all the time it is assumed that the opponent's Pokemon is at level 100. Therefore this would not give you much of an advantage over your opponent. Therefore analysing the structure of the battle and the ability to foresee the battle is Extremely vital. I will go more into that later.

Pokemon is one of the game that requires high amount if analysing skill. it is not a matter of level, it do not give you much advantage, as i mentioned earlier on. studying the nature, strength, weakness and speed of the Pokemon that your are training would really help. Eg , Regirock, it is a strong Pokemon in the paper, but what moves combination must i give it to it ? Firstly study the strength and weakness of the creature. Regirock is strong in defence and attack, slightly weaker in the Sp defence and weak in the speed and its Sp attack. So next step is to get a good nature one. Mine has a nature that makes Sp defence easy to raise. That means the Sp Attack would be really low, this is no big deal to me since i only include a Sp Attack in my Regirock. Next, take advantage of the STAB (Same Type Additional Bonus). It would boost the move by 1.5 times stronger. Next, it would be useful to include a counter move, eg Regice is weak against Fire, then let it learn AncientPower, which is good against Fire-type pokemons. Lastly consider stats-changing moves, good stats -changing moves do not waste too much turn. Examples of good stats-changing moves : Calm Mind, Bulk up and Cosmic Power. Examples of Acceptable stats-change moves : Amnesia, Metal Sound and Iron Defence. Moves like Light Screen and Reflect are very useful too. Most people do not know this, but it is extremely important to think of all four moves before training the Pokemon you want to train. With all this in mind it is not that difficult to form four good moves, even one or two combos.

Next, never let a Pokemon learn two moves of the same type. Eg, pikachu learns Thunder, thunderbolt, iron tail and quick attack. The four moves are decent moves but do you notice that this pikachu is wasting a space ? It should take out either the thunder or thunderbolt and replace it with a move like 'Double Team'.

Also make different teams, being team 1 the best, team 2 second best, team 3 third, team 4 and team 5. If you have a Pokemon just joining the squad put it in a lowly team first. then if you are impressed with it and think of promoting it, sent it for a test run first. Bring that Pokemon to the Battle Tower, Trainer Tower or even the elite 4 for a test. If that Pokemon performs up to your standard then promote it to the next stage. Warning though, this method althought is very very useful and effective it takes a damn long time to work out. Constant reshuffling of your team means that your Pokemon might not be familiar with each other, but a clever combo might be able to unite them all together. It would be useful to appoint a Captain for your team, be sure to be able to communicate well with your captain well in time of battle, a miscommunication would really be disastrous. try to understand it strength, weakness and style of battling.

Lastly i would give you guys an example of what i mean. I would be giving examples from my teams.(All level 100). Zapdos (First Team, Captain) nickname-Bloom, thunder, Drill Peck, Light Screen and Rain dance. The thunder and Drill Peck is for attack. Light Screen is for increasing Sp Defence and Rain dance is for increasing the accuracy of Thunder to 100. Misdreavus (Fourth Team) nickname-Ghostly, Psychic, Painsplit, Mean Look and Perish Song. Psychic is a rarely used attack in this case. First move, mean look, next move Perish Song. by this time your opponent would have your life to about 20% so now it is time to use Painsplit, when Misdreavus perish count fell to one then you switch it out. Cradily EX (Fourth Team) nickname-nil, Ancientpower, Amnesia, Toxic and Recover. Ancientpower is against an attack for the emergency case, the real first move is toxic. then Amnesia after that your life would be reduced to 40%, so now use Recover and raise HP back to 90%, Do this five times, your opponent would die of the toxic.

I would like to end here, emphasizing that Pokemon game is full of thinking ang planning ahead and many other intellectual demands, so good luck guys. :)
