you put him to sleep alot so he cant hit u then u get a Pokemon that nows falseswipe and hit him to the red hp meter and put him 2 sleep again if he woke up and viola!
or u can get a a minun with thunder and shock wave first u hit him with shock wave then thunder then try to catch him over and over and if it works u have him this goes with all reges

∙ 11y agoA good strategy would to have a pokemon with the move "False Swipe" which leaves 1Hp on the pokemon you are trying to catch. Then, either try to put it to sleep or induce paralysis. This way, kyogre will be weak and affected by a status. Then I would consider using ultra balls.

∙ 12y agoWell, first off, you need to weaken Kyogre like there's NO tomorrow. Also, if you put it to sleep or put it too sleep with help you a LOT! Lowering its stats will also help. I wouldn't recommend poisoning or burning it because if you weaken it, it could faint because poison and burn causes damage and..well..there goes your hard work. But if you have plenty of poke/great/ultra balls that'd help. But if you also have timer balls (balls that are more effective the longer a battle goes on) that'd also be really good! Just make sure you SAVE your game before you battle Kyogre. And be patient, it WILL take a while, but don't give up! And good luck!! :D

You can only catch one in one game. In Pokemon SoulSilver, you get Groudon, and in HeartGold you get Kyogre. In Sapphire you get Kyogre, and in Ruby you get Groudon.
