Can you catch Kyogre and Groudon in the same time or can you just catch one?

You can only catch one in one game. In Pokemon SoulSilver, you get Groudon, and in HeartGold you get Kyogre. In Sapphire you get Kyogre, and in Ruby you get Groudon.

How do you capture Groudon and kyogre in Pokemon HeartGold?
You cannot catch Kyogre and Groudon in "HeartGold." In SoulSilver you can catch Groudon and in HeartGold you can catch Kyogre. In SoulSilver. you can get the Red Orb from Mr. Pokémon after you get 1 of the Kanto Starters from Professor Oak. In HeartGold, you get the Blue orb from Mr. Pokémon after getting a Kanto Starter from Oak. Both Kyogre and Groudon have to be from the Embedded Tower in order to get the Jade Orb so that you can get Rayquaza in the Embedded Tower.
Do you half to beat the battle frontier before you get Groudon on emerald?
No you just have to beat the Pokemon champion then after go to the weather institute southeast of fortree city then on the second storie talk to the man by the computer and he will tell you the route to go to. After you catch or meet kyogre do the same thing and he will tell you where to get groudon. :) Note: The man only says that there is a drought(groudon) or a downpour(kyogre)
In pokemon heartgold how do you get Rayquaza?
To get Rayquaza, you have to take the Jade Orb to the same cave you obtained Kyogre or Groudon within. However, to get the Jade Orb, you need to have both Kyogre & Groudon. This includes the one you captured in your game and one you obtained in a trade, but captured within the Heart Gold or Soul Silver game only. Once you have these two Pokémon, go to Professor Oak and show them to him. He will give you the Jade Orb. Yes they are the same. but in ruby you get groudon and in sapphire you get kyogre .

There like the same because Kyogre's moves are super effective against Groudon. But in one Pokemon episode, Kyogre lost to a battle against Groudon. But that might just be Groundon's luck.
