you can´t change shaymin without the flower if you have trouble getting it you have to go to floraroma town after you got shaymin and put shaymin on your party and then talk to the woman in front of the flower shop and she´ll give the flower to you it only works in day when its frozen in battle or send to a PC box or it comes night shaymin transformes back to its land form no need to thank me.

I think that shaymin's forms are exclusive to platinum as they require a giveaway from a Nintendo event. If it wasnt built into platinum pearl/diamond then you wont be able to change its form. It would be like trying to trade across Pokemon to lower generation games which don't support that Pokemon. If the method for doing it in platinum doesnt work then you simply cant do it.
