To beat the game people say multiple starters are the best just because they like that Pokemon. In fire red your best choice is anyone since the gyms are random types. In soul silver the best starter is typholsion. It could have an advantige on 3 gyms all other starters would have a disavantige to one gym and not beat any In emerald or ruby it would be treeko. it loses two gyms but beats 3 gyms In diamond and pearl it is both chimchar and turtwig. In Pokemon black and white it is tepig. I really like oshawott and beat all the gyms with my oshawott with me but tepig has most advantage. Tips Ice Pokemon are really good types of Pokemon. I woul recommend getting one. high level dragon type Pokemon are good too. it has to be high leveled though. Dragon types only have two weaknesses ice and dragons.
