How do you get a Bulbasaur in Diamond?

There's only two ways to do this (without cheating):

1. The easiest way to do it would be to start a brand new game of either FireRed or LeafGreen and choose Bulbasaur as your starter. Once you have done this, you can use the Pal Park in Diamond to transfer it over (Note: You may need more than one Pokémon in FireRed or LeafGreen to be able to use the Pal Park, I don't remember exactly. Also, you'll need to beat the Elite Four in Diamond, and obtain the National Pokédex.)

2. Get it in HeartGold/SoulSilver and trade it over. The way to do this is to beat all 16 gym leaders AND Red, and go to Professor Oak's laboratory in Pallet. He will give you a choice between the three Kanto starters: Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle.

Other than that, the only other way to do it is to cheat. Hope this helps!

first you have to complete all 16 gyms. then you have to climb mount silver and beat red (train first he has lvl 80-90s). red will then offer you a choice between charmander, squirtle and bulbasaur.

P.S. if you want a Sinnoh starter too you can go to the radio tower in kanto and get either mudkip, torchic or treeko.
