Sunkern is found in the Safari Zone in Pokemon Emerald. It is in the Johto section, origionally blocked off by two men in green suits. After you defeat the Elite Four and receive the national pokedex, that area should be accessible.

∙ 11y agoSunkern is not obtainable in Firered you will need to trade one from Emerald or you can transfer the purified Sunflora from Pokemon Colosseum and then breed it on Four Island in Firered to receive a Sunkern Egg and all you need to do is hatch it.
