if you mean the guy that is in viridian and he wont let you get past just go to the Pokemon center the clerk inside will give you prof. oak's parcell go back to the lab and give it to him after that Gary will show up prof. oak will give you both a pokedex once Gary leaves go to his house and get the map from his sister you can now get past the guy.
note: you don't have to get the map to get past the guy but it will come in handy later on also the guy will show you how to catch Pokemon and give you a teachy tv

∙ 12y agoYou have to have sixty Pokemon in ur pokedex then show prof oak and he give you national dex then complete all of the islands then go back to cave and man isn't blocking it then you can catch mew two
