To remove the gear gaiter on a Ford Fiesta Mark 6, first, carefully pry off the plastic trim surrounding the gear knob using a flat tool. Next, unscrew the gear knob by turning it counterclockwise. Once the knob is off, you can pull the gaiter up from the base, detaching it from any clips or adhesive. Finally, gently remove any remaining clips or fasteners to fully detach the gaiter.

Align the timing marks on the camshaft gears to the notches on the camshaft cover, using the intake gear mark for the intake gear and the exhaust gear mark for the exhaust gear. 38. Align the mark on the crankshaft gear with the notch at the bottom of the rear timing belt cover.
Get a new timing set (crank gear, cam gear, chain) Install crank gear and turn crank so mark on gear is straight up. Loosely install cam gear, turn so mark on gear is straight down. Remove distributor cap, verify rotor is pointing at #1 plug wire. #1 is drivers side front cylinder. If rotor is 180 degrees out (pointing at #6 wire rather than #1) turn crank one full turn clockwise to bring rotor to #1. Marks on both gears should now be directly adjacent to each other, Crank mark up, cam mark down. Gently remove cam gear so as not to rotate cam. Install chain around crank and cam gear, being sure to maintain mark orientation. Bolt cam gear back in place. Check alignment of timing marks, if they are not right remove cam gear and try again. Torque to spec. Your engine is now at TDC #1 on compression stroke. Should fire right up.
Tape over the splines on the inner end of the driveshaft, then carefully slide the outer gaiter onto the shaft. pack the joints with the grease supplied in the repair kit. Ease the gaiter over the joint and ensure that the gaiter lips are correctly located in the grooves of the driveshaft and on the joint. With the coupling aligned with driveshaft, lift the lip of the gaiter to equalise air pressure. Fit the large metal retianing clip to the gaiter, remove any slack in the gaiter retaining clip by carefully compressing the raised section of the clip. check that the constant velocity joint moves freely in all directions before proceeding any further To refit the vibration damper when applicable lubricate the driveshaft with a solution of soapy water press or drive the vibration damper along the shaft using a tubular spacer which bears only on the damper inner bush until aligned with the mark made prior to removal. Refit the inner constant velocity joint then refit the driveshaft to the vehicle hope my info helps cheers Gary Australia
Disassemble the engine and remove the camshaft and chain. Assemble with everything aligned correctly. For specific details research your ATV model for instructions. ***There should be a cover over the Camshaft gear. That's the cover to remove. Once removed there will be a chain tensionor that you will need to remove (either automatic or manual) once removed you could loosen the bolt holding the cam gear in place. There will be a nut on your flywheel cover for viewing the mark for TDC. There will also be a mark in your cam gear housing to lign up with the mark on your cam gear. - Look up specifics for your model mudder.. *** Hope that helps. You should always refer to a service guide for instruction.
on the cam gear the mark should be at 6:00 or in other words the mark will be at the bottom of the gear when installed, on the crank gear the mark should be at 12:00 or at the top of the gear when installed, both marks will line up with each other.
