In the generation 4 games, this isn't possible (Although, you can do it in Soul Silver and Heart Gold). But you can take one of a few acceptable Pokemon for a walk in a park in the city where the daycare is (Don't remember the name :P) it is probably the 5th city you'll visit overall. The acceptable Pokemon are Pikchu, Pachurisu, bunny ... something and a few others. The lady at the front of the park says which Pokemon are allowed.

∙ 15y agoInorder to get ALL Pokemon to listen to you you will need to acquire all 8 GYM Badges.
2 badges will let Pokemon even those in trades up to LV 030 to obey you
4 badges will let Pokemon even those in trades up to LV 50 to obey you
6 badges will let Pokemon even those in trades up to LV 70 to obey you
8 badges will let ALL POKEMON even those in trades will obey you without question.
