if you want to get to magma cavern you should finish the smeargle mission first the boss there is groudon (mythical Pokemon) also team as rayquaza and kyogre here is what you will do:
1=you should find the special mission of smeargle at the bulletin board or at your mail.
2=go to thunder wave cave for the special mission.
3=find smeargle.
4=after finding it .it will join your team.
5=you can now go to magma cavern.
