How does watching cartoons relate to the way you act as an adult?

Really, there's no relation. Unless you miss work or something then you lose the responsible part. If you're a parent with children from 1-6 or 7, then watching a cartoon with your children makes you a caring and therefore responsible adult.

Things like this are breaking the forth wall, which basically means to include the audience or be aware that they are acting, as in Tiny Toon Adventures, they relate to the script very often.
