The maximum speed is 32 MPH. Fans are put along the track to make it seem like you're going faster.
Go to Space Mountain ride and get the fast pass, then choice your other ride. This way you can finish all the ride in one day.
No, Space Mountain has no loops and only a few drops. They aren't scary AT ALL though. I went on it for the first time about a month ago and my stomach goes up so easily on drops. It didn't at all on Space Mountain, however. It's a really great ride and you'll want to ride it over and over (:
fast pass
Absolutely -- I just went in July, 2009, and we got so much done in one day by using Fast Pass. And we discovered a glitch in their computer. The two parks' computers don't talk to each other so you can get a Fast Pass in Disneyland and then (if you have a Park Hopper ticket) go to California Adventure and get a Fast Pass there right away without waiting until the time on your Disneyland Fast Pass.
The cars in Space Mountain generally go only 28 miles per hour. The thrills of the ride mainly come from the fact that you can't see the track in front of you, and thus can't anticipate any turns, dips, or twists, which adds considerably to the excitement. Space Mountain in Florida has two tracks inside that mirror each other. Each one goes at pretty much the same speed.

Space Mountain It's an in-the-dark Roller Coaster, you can see practically the whole ride (if you're in Walt Disney World) from the Blue Line in Tomorrowland. You get to see people getting on the Roller Coaster, going way up, and then you go under the whole rest of the ride seeing just the green lights on the side of the car flying by in the dark! If you want to see Space Mountain, but aren't sure about going on it yet, go on the Blue Line in Tomorrowland, in Walt Disney World!
