i usually keep mine in daycare until i need it or if i dont need it in particular i take it out when its gone up bye about 5 levels so i dont have to pay too much for it back, approximatly about 2-3 days all in all. or if its a pokemon that you dont use just leave it there! thats what i did with my rattata, although its on a really high level now!!
