The "Sailor V" anime, also known as "Sailor Venus," originally aired as a part of the "Sailor Moon" franchise and consists of a single episode that was released as part of a special. However, the character Sailor Venus, also known as Minako Aino, is featured prominently in the "Sailor Moon" series, which has a total of 200 episodes across its five seasons.
To make a long answer short: Sailor V was the first ever Sailor Moon character. The creator of Sailor moon made the comic books first, that's what the anime is based off of (if you didn't know). Before Sailor Moon was ever created, Sailor V was the only Sailor Senshi (scout); however, to make the anime more attractive, the creator was asked to make a whole team of senshi (sailor scouts) instead of just one. So, Sailor V was technically the first to awaken her memory and power until she joined her place in the group of 5 and became Sailor Venus. It's sort of a joke that's she this famous super hero, and appears in games and poster in the anime. that really didn't answer the question i don't think. Sailor V is Serena's idol and she was in the video game that Serena loves. she is kind of like a celebrity, an icon if you will, in the program.
Sailor Venus' first anime appearance is as Minako Aino, in a non-speaking role, in Japanese episode 33/or episode 29 in the English dub. She later appears as Sailor Venus speaking, at the end of that same episode. Her first appearance in the manga as Sailor Venus, and not as her previous "Sailor V" code-named identity is the final act of the Codename: Sailor V manga; her first appearance in the Sailor Moon manga is Act 8: Mamoru Chiba - Tuxedo Mask. Her first appearance in the live-action series Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon is Act 12.
Kuniko Ikuhara directed all three of the Sailor Moon movies: Sailor Moon R (subtitled in English as "Promise of the Rose"), Sailor Moon S (subtitled in English as "Hearts in Ice") and Sailor Moon SuperS (subtitled as "The 9 Sailor Soldiers Unite! Miracle of the Black Dream Hole," or just "Black Dream Hole" in English).
you might think it is sailor moon, but it is actually sailor Venus. Remember how Serena (Usagi for Japanese) always played sailor v games. Sailor v is sailor Venus and was found by Artemis (another talking cat like Luna).

During the first ten episodes of Sailor Moon Crystal, Luna was able to awaken Usagi, Ami, Rei and Makoto so that they could transform to become Sailor Moon, Sailor Mercury, Sailor Mars and Sailor Jupiter respectively. Mina arrives as Sailor V also known as Sailor Venus along with her cat guardian; Artemis. The guardians discover that Usagi is the Moon Princess and Queen Serenity informs them of the story behind a great darkness brainwashing humans from Earth into attacking the Moon Kingdom which eventually lead to both Endymion, Prince of Earth to die in battle and Usagi to follow soon after.

The common reason given is that Naoko Takeuchi wanted to write a magical girl series. She started writing Codename: Sailor V, and the concept was so popular that she developed additional characters. From this, the Sailor Moon manga sprung forth: a combination of magical girl with the (typically-male) sentaiteam setup. When the first arc of the manga became a huge success, the anime followed shortly thereafter, with adaptations to accommodate the ongoing manga story. The original five-girl group expanded to many more Senshi, encompassing all of the planets in the Solar System, in addition to many other planetary and astronomical bodies. There were 18 original volumes of the Sailor Moon manga, which were recently re-released into 12 condensed volumes with 2 special side-story volumes (in the early 2000s in Japanese, and within 2011-2013 in English by Kodansha USA).Shortly after the Sailor Moon anime ended with five hugely successful seasons totaling 200 episodes, Naoko Takeuchi was able to complete her original work: Codename: Sailor V, which was initially published in 3 tankoubon-style volumes by the mid-1990s and later condensed into two, larger shinsoban volumes in the early 2000s. 10

The first active Sailor Senshi on Earth was Sailor Venus, codenamed "Sailor V." She was awakened by Artemis while she was 13 years old and in her first year of junior high (equivalent to 7th grade). A year or more after Minako Aino was awakened as Sailor V, Luna discovered and awakened Usagi Tsukino as Sailor Moon, Ami Mizuno as Sailor Mercury, Rei Hino as Sailor Mars, and Makoto Kino as Sailor Jupiter.
