The first active Sailor Senshi on Earth was Sailor Venus, codenamed "Sailor V." She was awakened by Artemis while she was 13 years old and in her first year of junior high (equivalent to 7th grade).
A year or more after Minako Aino was awakened as Sailor V, Luna discovered and awakened Usagi Tsukino as Sailor Moon, Ami Mizuno as Sailor Mercury, Rei Hino as Sailor Mars, and Makoto Kino as Sailor Jupiter.
No, the Sailor Senshi (Scouts) from Sailor Moon do not exist in real life. But cos-playing as your favorite senshi is always fun. ;)
The Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon manga first appeared in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine in March 1992.

There were many different characters in the Sailor Moon franchise. There were the main base characters: Sailor Moon, Tuxedo Mask, and Senshi. Other characters came later and each series offered different villians.
There is no Sailor Sun, unless she is fan-made, however fan-made senshi do not count as canon.
there the planets and the people Sailors: Planets: Sailors Saturn Saturn Sailor Mars Mars Sailor Pluto Pluto Sailors Jupiter Jupiter Sailor Moon Moon Sailor Neptune Neptune Sailors Uranus Uranus Sailors Venus Venus Sailor Mercury Mercury Also, there are other Senshi that are not associated with the planets, like the Starlights (Sailor Star healer, Sailor Star Fighter, and Sailor Star maker) and those under the control of the villain in SMStars named Sailor Galaxia. Those Senshi are Sailor iron Mouse, Sailor Aluminum Seiren, Sailor Lead Crow, Sailor Tin Nyanko... There are more in the manga, but I won't tell you all of them. I do know that of course, the protagonist Sailor Moon is soldier of the moon, and Sailor Chibimoon (or in the English dub, Sailor Minimoon) is the younger version. Isn't there a Sailor Chibi Chibi/ Chibi Chibi Moon in Stars? I can't remember if she's a Sailor Senshi in the anime, but in the manga, I'm sure of it.
In both the anime and the manga, the sixth Sailor Senshi to appear is Sailor Pluto. In the anime, she first appears in in episode 75 (episode 68 in the English dub). In the manga, she appears in Act 18: Time Warp - Sailor Pluto.

The most popular Sailor Senshi [Scout] depends on when the poll was conducted and where. For example, polls conducted during Sailor Moon's first run in Japan showed Sailor Mercury/Ami Mizuno as the most popular Sailor Senshi, but as additional Senshi were introduced, positions in the poll changed. Many times, the popularity poll results were shown in a color pull-out poster featured in the magazines or tankoubon in which Sailor Moon was run; these posters can also be found in many of the Sailor Moon art books.
The first time the Sailor Scouts (Senshi) appear in their formal princess gowns in the Sailor Moon manga is when Sailor Moon gains her Eternal transformation ability, at the end of the fourth Sailor Moon manga arc, "Dream." It is Act 48, Dream 10: Princess Dream.
