There are five Sailor Moon series (or seasons):
1) Sailor Moon (sometimes called "Classic")
2) Sailor Moon R (two parts; for the first part, the "R" stood for "Returns," and in the second, it's said to stand for "Romance")
3) Sailor Moon S (where the "S" stands for "Super")
4) Sailor Moon SuperS (where the second "S" most likely stands for "Senshi")
5) Sailor Moon Sailor Stars
The last series/season was never dubbed or officially subtitled for release in English, but fansubs of the original Japanese do exist.
The original Sailor Moon manga has a total of 18 volumes in both the English and Japanese versions. Beginning in 2003, the volume were rereleased into 12 deluxe volumes and two short story volumes in Japan only.
In america, four so far. The fifth volume is coming early in 2011.

Sailor Moon S refers to the third season of the Bishoujo Senshi Sailor Moon anime. The "S" is said to stand for "Super," because it is the first season in which we see Sailor Moon gain an upgraded transformation, when she is called Super Sailor Moon.This season is equivalent to the "Infinity" arc of the manga, though it did not have an equivalent in the live action television series (Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon). It was, however, utilized in many of the Sailor Moon musicals.
