Technically, Batman has never actually died, although there are multiple times when he has thought to be dead. The most famous and recent is the miniseries "Final Crisis," in which the villain Darkseid blasted the Dark Knight with his Omega Beams. Instead of killing him, the blast sent Batman back in time, where he struggled to return to his own time in the miniseries "The Return of Bruce Wayne."

In general terms, he is invulnerable to physical attack (while not in the presence of kryptonite or exhausted) and nothing can hurt him.
