There are too many variables in order to give the value of ANY guitar sight unseen. The best thing that you can do is to find a guitar that is closest to what you are questioning at an online auction site and see how much it sells for. If there is not one being auctioned that is close to the description of your match then either wait a few days and check back or pay to have yours appraised by one of several guitar specialty shops (Gruhn's Guitars in Nashville comes to mind.)

Gibson didn't make Les Paul Deluxes in 1964. The first Deluxes appeared in '68 when the single-cut Les Paul models were re-introduced. Lester's contract with them expired in 1962, and he let it lapse largely because they stopped making "Les Pauls" in 1960 and were putting his name on SGs, of which he wasn't so fond. The date code on the pots are the best way to date a Gibson from this period, although the serial numbers aren't as hectic as they became several years later.

I have been following eBay auctions for Gibson SG Standards of 69-70 vintage (I own a 1970) for a couple years and they have run from $2,000-$5,000+. Some sellers ask over $10K for mint condition instruments but I have not seen anyone bid on those. But the value (not the eBay sale price) could well be up in that range, or more. There appears to be a viable collectors' market for vintage SGs. They seem to keep going up in demand and price, so if you intend to make money on a sale and can afford to hold on while the economy recovers a bit you might do even better by waiting a while.

like any guitar , its based on three factors:

year which you can find out from the serial number

condition if its been played, paint chips .. ect

and series

to find out the serial number googles your best friend for this. Also check eBay to see what their going for I suppose.

1964 Gibson Les Paul standard cherry sunburst triple demarizios serial 203113 excellent condition given it's age what is the approximate value. Not a SG. Read the Gibson Website for info re serial?

There were no les pauls in 1964. It was actually an SG. The dimarzios decrease the value significantly. The value depends largely on condition, but anywhere in the 2k-5k range would be my guess

How do you calculate SMV?

Assuming SMV is an acronym for Sake Meter Value (a translation of "nihonshu-do"), then you can calculate a SMV value from a specific gravity (SG) value using this formula:SMV = ((1/SG)−1) × 1443For example, a finished genshu sake with a SG of 0.996 (what my homemade sake typically finishes fermenting at) would have a nihonshu-do of +5.8.
