He thinks that you can put a piece of paper over it and pull his signature off.
Only if you have written permission by the person who's autograph you are trying to sell. Otherwise it can be deemed as fraud or a type of theft of one's property without due reimbursement.
Mary Queen of Scots was seen as a Catholic threat to a Protestant throne. When Mary signed a plot paper, Elizabeth was forced to sign her death warrant as a protective measure.
An original (not reproduced) signature can fetch anything from $100 to over a million depending on what else is on the page. For example, a working set of lyrics to a John Lennon song, handwritten and signed by Lennon sold at auction for $1,250,000. As with all signatures, specifics and verification add value, as does condition.
Dylan Thomas's poem "The Hand That Signed the Paper" reflects the historical context of post-World War II Britain, where themes of power, authority, and the consequences of political decisions were particularly resonant. The poem addresses the disconnect between those who wield power and the common people affected by their decisions. Thomas's work often explores the interplay of personal and political struggles, emphasizing how individual actions can shape collective destinies. This backdrop of societal upheaval and disillusionment informs the poem's exploration of responsibility and the weight of one's choices.
Signature = Name that is signed to acknowledge a purpose. Autograph = Name that is signed for no purpose but may have material or sentimental value.
Somebodies signature usually signed on a piece of paper, or picture. It also usually includes some kind of shout-out to the person who is receiving the autograph.
Check Ebay, value depends on whether signed to an individual, what autograph is on i.e signed photograph, tatty scrap of paper, quality, age etc etc. Ebay gives a rough idea.
Not much, i bought a signed photo from 1957 for 33 usd and a signed piece of paper (1981) for 27 usd, I guess Rick isn't much in demand ....
It depends on whether it is a cut signature or on a check or photograph. A cut, or simple paper autograph, can start at $500. A signed check begins at $750. Be aware that his brother Loren often signed for the Wright Brothers. A signed photo starts at $1000 and up. Wilbur's is far more valuable because he died in 1912, just 9 years after their historic flight. His can be $5000.

200-600 dollars.
DUHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH it a autograph from someone famous not on a piece of paper its on a picture!!!!!!!
It really depends on what typ of paper product the autograph is on. Typically cardboard style paper products fetch more green back. Glossy style paper also does pretty good in an auction setting. Whereas a wrapping typ of paper product has shown to do quite poor in the past but an optimistic outlook could have them on the rebound! Gates Brown's autograph without the paper (ink only) could fetch anywhere around $115-$120 at the right auction.
Karen Carpenter's autograph varies in it's worth. Depending on whether or not the autograph is "To" someone, part of a valuable piece of memorabilia, or simply a signed document all have important factors which can determine the price of your Karen Carpenter autograph. Typically, a signed sheet of paper with Karen's complete name i.e., "Hi, Karen Carpenter", the price has been easily known to fetch anywhere from $100.00 - 250.00; however, if you're purchasing this on eBay, all it takes is two people who want this autograph badly enough and the price can sky rocket up to ($1,000.00). I've actually seen this occur. There are so many "fake" Karen Carpenter signings on eBay that it can be difficult for the casual fan to authenticate it. "COA's", or Certificate of Authenticity, is a term that should be rendered worthless on eBay. Easily copied, these certificates are as fraudulent as the autographs themselves. Also, key words like, "Hand signed" may provide a legal loophole for the really devious seller, since they are not telling you that "hand signed" means BY THEM! Be careful with your attempts to purchase any autograph and remember, the value is worth whatever you're comfortable with. If you're buying an autograph just to resell it for a profit, then consider anything under $100.
