In the LightningThief Grover is 28 Years old, but looks like a middle school age kid. By the fifth book Grover is 32.
Grover is now 33. But in the fifth book is 32.
He's 32, which is equivelent to a 16 year old human
He is 13 years old. I'm pretty sure it says it right on the back cover of the book. -- He's actually 12 in the Lightning Theif. (13 in the second book, 14 and then turns 15 at the end of the fourth book, and 15 and then turns 16 in the last book.)
In the end of the first book, his father also comes to his birthday, in the last book.
she is about 32 years old i dont know I'm just a kid
its PG 13

One major difference between "The Lightning Thief" book and the "Percy Jackson and the Olympians" movie is the age of the characters; in the book, Percy is 12 years old, whereas in the movie, he is portrayed as a teenager. Additionally, the movie simplifies and changes some plot elements, character relationships, and key events from the book to fit the constraints of a film adaptation.
i guess the director didn't read the book LOL!!
Chris Columbus changed the ages around. In the movie 'The Lightning Thief' Percy is sixteen years old. That's why he, Annabeth and Grover could drive cars in the movie. Chris said it would make the movie make a little more sense.

Annabeth is 12, Percy is 12, and I think Grover is actually in his 20s. He's pretending to be (i think) a 13 year old in the real world. They know about him being a satyr and stuff in Camp Half-Blood.
Why should anyone tell you. That is cheating
According to Answers.com: "The Lightning Thief is the first in the Percy Jackson & the Olympians series of novels for children, written by Rick Riordan. It is about a 12-year old boy called Perseus "Percy" Jackson, who, with his two friends, Annabeth and Grover, must find Zeus's master lightning bolt before the summer solstice, in order to prevent World War III."
There is no mature content whatsoever in The Lightning Thief, and it doesn't necessarily have a set age. I would recommend for a child of around 9 or 10 to read it, as Percy in the first book is only in grade 6.
